5th District AHEPA Cancer Research Foundation
The 5th District AHEPA Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) is a non profit 501(c)3 all volunteer organization, dedicated to support the fight against cancer.
It's Board of Directors and the many volunteers who labor on this project work without any compensation and are proud members of the Order of AHEPA, the Daughters of Penelope, the Sons of Pericles and the Maids of Athena.
ACRF was founded in 1988 and its mission is to raise funds for the award of grants to scientists, researchers and medical institutions whose primary goal is to find a cure for cancer.
Since its inception in 1988, ACRF has awarded grants for cancer research in excess of $850,000.00. All this money has been raised with the participation of AHEPA Family members in the annual Gala Banquet - Dance, collection Canisters at restaurants, Bowling for Cancer and Silent Auction activities and through the contributions of our Benefactors.
You can help in many ways. You may volunteer to work with us for this great cause or you can make a financial contribution. Either way you will be very welcomed among us. And remember: 99.9 % of the money collected are awarded as research grants to fight cancer.

Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County
The goal of Habitat is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the face of the earth by working in partnership with people in need. Using volunteer labor and donated funds and materials, Habitat builds or rehabilitates simple, decent houses and sells them to low-income families at cost, but with no interest added.
Habitat is a people-to-people partnership, which joins all of us together regardless of race, nationality, religion, or socioeconomic status. That partnership begins with the homeowner families (partner families). Habitat is not a giveaway program, but a joint venture in which those who benefit from the housing ministry are involved in the work at various levels. They help with the construction of their own home, as well as the houses of their neighbors.
